Today, flags across Wisconsin are being flown at half-staff in honor of the firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We pause to remember the brave men and women who answered every call with courage, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

For the past 8 years, Lt. Tim Deluhery Jr. has proudly represented the Prairie du Chien Fire Department at The Annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Lambeau Field.

Each year, Tim climbs 110 flights of stairs in honor of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. His continued commitment to making the climb year after year speaks to the respect he has for those heroes and his dedication to ensuring their sacrifice is never forgotten.

We are proud to have Tim representing PDC Fire Department and grateful for the example he sets through his service, dedication, and remembrance.

Today, we honor the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remember the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness shown in the face of tragedy.

As time passes, may we never forget those who were taken from us, the heroes who answered the call, and the strength that united a nation.

We’re proud to serve our neighbors, and today we're grateful for State Farm and National Volunteer Fire Council for serving us. Thanks to the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program, we’ve received a $10,000 grant to buy a battery-powered Jaws of Life cutter and additional extrication equipment. This means better safety for our firefighters and better service for you.

A huge thank you to every business that sponsored a hole, every donor who contributed raffle prizes, every volunteer and employee at the Prairie Du Chien Country Club who lent a hand, and every golfer who joined us at our 1st Annual Axes & Irons Golf Tournament!

Events like this aren’t possible without a community that shows up the way ours does. We had a great day on the course, raised money for much needed equipment, and enjoyed spending time with so many great people.

From all of us at the PDC Fire Department, thank you for helping make our first tournament one to remember. We look forward to seeing you next year!
