Sixth grade looks so fun, I’d like to go back and have Ms. Tiffani and Ms. Ariel as teachers! With all the creative ways Ms. Tiffani gets the class to engage fully with math, I think I’d have gotten a better grade! 😂 From chalk equations outside to shaving cream on the desks, who says middle school can’t have just as much fun as the little ones??
We hope everyone is enjoying their Fall Break and getting all the rest and relaxation they need and are making some new memories with family and friends.

BOOK BLAST RESULTS ARE IN! 💥 📖 📚 ✨🥳
Hey there Mighty Oaks! We are just SO proud of all of you and the way you stepped up and participated in this year’s book blast event because it was a tremendous success! We raised just shy of $44,000 and what that means is that all students received a minimum of 4 books each! (Even the kiddos who weren’t able to participate got books!) Over 30,000 books were delivered to go home with students just before fall break began! We want to thank all our students, families, and staff that took the time to promote our Book Blast Event and We’d like to give a HIGE shoutout to Ms. Jennie for organizing this and putting so much time, energy, and heart into bringing more books into the hands of students and sharing her love of reading with them all. The students had a blast opening up their books and spending some time reading and sharing with friends and we are grateful to have been able to celebrate with them. Thank you all so much! We did it!

Our Mighty Oak Cheerleading team is looking so good with their clean routines, stunts, and amazing chants. The way they put the pep in all of our steps, while cheering on our flag football team, was one for the books! Shoutout to their amazing coaches, Ms. Wallace and Ms. Kayla!

Today’s fun little video is serving as a HUGE shoutout to our amazing office staff. We are beyond grateful for all the hard work they do (seen and unseen) and the dedication to the success of our school. Taking over the office ‘real quick’ while they go put out metaphorical fires throughout the day is no easy task! It seems simple enough until you’re in the trenches and there’s no one else around to help you out. 😂😭
So for that we want to say THANK YOU to Ms. Cathy, Ms. Olivia, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Courtney, Ms. Melody, Ms. Jen and Ms. G. You guys really are some of our biggest superheroes!

I’d like to make a mini shoutout to Ms. Kayla and Our 7th and 8th grade Music Class students, who went above and beyond to put on a great performance for the 9/11 memorial assembly last month. They designed and created their shirts and performed with their guitars, drums, symbols, etc.
They put in time to practice and it really showed.
These kiddos were outstanding! We are so proud and we bet you are too!

Congratulations to our flag football team on a 3rd place finish! 🏆
This was a season of growth, but our athletes continued to show grit, determination, and perseverance every step of the way. We are proud of the way they kept competing and improving throughout the season. A huge thank you to Coach Rice and Coach Jim for their time, dedication, and commitment to our players. Way to go, Acorn! 👏🏻

Our athletes fought hard all season, played competitively, and represented Acorn with determination and teamwork. We are so proud of everything they accomplished!
