💉⏱️❗️MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccine available❗️

Did you know the best way to prevent measles is to get the MMR vaccine? Children are recommended to receive the first dose at 12 months old and the second dose between 4 and 6 years old.
The MMR vaccine is safe and effective. Side effects are usually mild and go away on their own.
Vaccination provides lifetime protection for most people. Two doses of the MMR vaccine provide 97% protection against measles.
Have questions about vaccination status or need a dose of MMR? Give the Floyd County Health Department clinic a call today at (606)886-2788.

🎀💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀💗

We’re reminding everyone that is important to take charge of your wellness! Breast cancer can affect both women and men, and risks increase with age. It’s vital to know changes in and on your body, understand your risk, and stay up to date on recommended mammograms and health screenings.

Hazel’s Healthy Tip: Don’t put your health on the back burner! Breast self-exams and breast self-awareness can help you recognize changes, but they do not replace recommended mammograms or clinical exams. Mammograms can detect breast cancer before any bodily changes occur. Early detection saves lives!

YOUR HEALTH MATTERS! Taking a proactive step today can make a difference tomorrow! đź’•
