It’s almost Toys for Tots time in Calvert County! 🎄🧸

We’ve been busy planning, and there will be a couple of changes this year. We are streamlining our registration process, which includes a shorter schedule. If you’re a Calvert County parent, you will still have the opportunity to register your children. We hope the shorter schedule will also help reduce no-shows on toy distribution day.

Family registration will open October 24, 2026, and close November 20, 2026. We look forward to another season of bringing joy to local children! ❤️

Do you have a master LEGO builder in the making? It’s time to take their building skills to the next level. Join the LEGO Club - Brick Lab, a space dedicated exclusively to teen LEGO enthusiasts ages 10-14. Whether they are into complex masterpieces or just free building to unwind, this is their zone. Come build with us on Tuesdays, Sept. 22-Nov. 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the Dowell Youth Center this fall!

Reading Buddies is a great program for emerging readers at the elementary level. Young readers read out loud to teen volunteers and also do fun activities. Reading out loud is beneficial for everyone. It builds vocabulary, improves listening skills and models fluent reading! Teen volunteers earn 1 hour of community service as well!
