🚨TAKE ACTION: Protect American Beef Production 🚨

(ACTION REQUEST LINK IN COMMENTS)

Illinois Farm Bureau and Illinois Beef Association are asking you to urge Congress and the White House to protect American beef production.

An additional 660 million pounds of foreign beef is set to enter the U.S. over just 90 days at prices 25% below market value, undercutting producers.

Now is not the time. Farmers need long-term market stability, allowing producers to rebuild the U.S. cattle herd, increase American beef production and ensure consumers have access to a safe, abundant and affordable food supply.

State Representative Murri Briel visited the Bureau County Fair this past weekend with her husband, Steve, and Deputy Chief of Staff Meredith Schilsky for a tour of the fairgrounds!

We watched part of the beef show, spoke with some youth about their projects, discussed important topics facing the agriculture industry with our board members, and obviously had to stop for some Cows Coffee.

Thank you to Bureau County Farm Bureau Board members Rex Elmore, Aaron Sears, Lilly Allicks, and President William Anderson, as well as Bureau County Fair Board members Jenica Cole and Vice President Kyle Burrows, for helping make this visit possible!
