The City of Princeton is excited to announce that the theme for the 2026 City of Princeton Christmas Parade will be “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”

The annual parade will take place on Monday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m., bringing holiday cheer, festive floats, and community spirit to downtown Princeton. Those unable to attend in person can watch the parade live on the City of Princeton’s official page. A complete schedule of holiday events will be announced soon.

The City is also pleased to announce that Dr. Bethany Meighen, President of Concord University, will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and community groups are encouraged to participate in this cherished holiday tradition. All parade participants must register by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, November 23. Registration forms will be available on the City of Princeton’s page, official website, and at Princeton City Hall.

The City is also seeking sponsors for this year’s parade. Sponsorship gives local businesses and organizations an opportunity to show community support while receiving recognition in the parade’s marketing materials and event promotions. Sponsors' names and/or logos will be featured in promotional materials.

Step back in time at the Princeton Public Library!

These large, framed historical prints, displayed on the library's lower level, capture the construction of the Princeton United States Post Office, built in 1935. In 2010, the library moved into the post office building.

The photographs offer a fascinating glimpse into Princeton’s past and the construction of one of the city’s historic buildings.

Be sure to take a closer look during your next visit to the library!
