"As far as educational equity and justice... tutoring is such a tangible action that we can take." So is running a marathon!

Meet Hannah Jo, a dedicated volunteer tutor with The Petey Greene Program who is preparing to run her first 26.2-mile race at the 2026 Philadelphia Marathon! 👟✨

From her background studying sustainability at Cornell to her daily work supporting youth across public schools and carceral facilities in Philadelphia, Hannah believes that quality education and holistic care are fundamental moral rights. Every tutoring session—and every training mile—represents a step toward collective liberation.

Hannah is aiming to raise $1,500 to guarantee that justice-impacted youth in Philadelphia continue receiving free tutoring, college-prep coursework, and transformative mentorship.
