At Rhode Island Infrastructure Bank, we're proud to work with our city and town partners to build climate-resilient communities across our state.
In the Town of Bristol, RI Government, we've supported critical resilience efforts, including providing $2 million in low-interest loan financing for and drainage improvements in the flood-prone Silver Creek Watershed, and a $461,500 Municipal Resilience Action Grant for stormwater improvements at Independence Park.
Check out this great video from our partners at The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island about the recently completed Independence Park project.
Projects like these demonstrate how targeted investments can safeguard public assets, reduce local flood risks, and protect coastal environments.
That's why passing Question 5 on November's ballot is so important. As part of the Green Economy Bond, Question 5 includes $25 million for the Resilient Rhody Infrastructure Fund. This revolving fund will provide municipalities with the long-term, predictable, low-cost financing they need to tackle flooding, coastal erosion, , and other projects.
Vote to help us deliver the resources our cities and towns need to build a more Resilient Rhody!
