Eric Estrada was a dedicated police officer, a loving father and husband... and an avid pickleball player! The courts at Alma Leonhardt Park were his favorite courts to play on, and now that is something permanently commemorated at the park.

A Logan resident, Eric was killed in the line of duty on August 17, 2025. Thank you to the Olsen family and Do it for Dax organization for donating the bench and plaque to honor Eric for his life, service and love of pickleball 💚

Your ballot has arrived—now what? 🗳

While there aren’t any Providence City races on the ballot this year, there are still important issues that directly affect you as a Providence resident!

One of those issues is the future of the Cache County Library. This is a non-binding question, meaning the results won’t make a final decision about the library. Instead, they’ll help the City Council understand how residents feel about library services and whether there’s support for a small property tax increase to help fund them.

Leaves are starting to fall, which means we will soon start collecting leaf bags.

🍂 There is no set schedule for this service. Bags will be collected as public works crews have the time and availability
🍂 Please place bags on the curb or park strip, NOT in the gutters
🍂 Sporadic collection will continue through the fall until snow arrives

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us provide this service!

As you work on landscaping or home projects, please remember to not leave gravel, dirt or other yard waste in the gutters. This is just one of several examples in town right now—we are not trying to call out a specific home or group.

Things like this can cause clogging and other issues in the storm drains, which can lead to all sorts of complications. Please make an effort to keep debris out of these areas and use your driveway or yard instead.

A clean gutter helps rainwater get where it needs to go!
