This morning the Patriot Battalion conducted a 9/11 Memorial PT. The workout consisted of running the Schneider Arena stairs, and doing 441 air squats in remembrance of the 441 first responders who lost their lives rescuing those inside the World Trade Center buildings.
Cadets took the time to listen to speeches by both cadre, and the Battalion Commander. Today served as a reminder and a chance to reflect on why cadets chose to enter ROTC: serving our country, like Lieutenant Colonel Marc "Sass" Sasseville and Lieutenant Heather "Lucky" Penney, two Air Force pilots who almost had to give up their lives on 9/11 to intercept one of the hijacked planes.
We remember and honor those who were lost 25 years ago.
