There's a lot going on at the next phase for Millcreek Common! The "treehouse" provides a hub for all of the activity happening all around it - miniature golf, skate canyon, splash creek, and the playground with the ever famous moose. While the completion is still several months out, we are enjoying to see the city's vision come to life as Hogan & Associates Construction makes progress on each element. The highlight of these projects is the collaboration that we get to enjoy with the Millcreek - Municipal Government and Terracon to help them provide amenities that supports their citizens as well as their long term vision to create the heart of their downtown area. The development surrounding Millcreek Common continues to grow and define the area, creating the future that the city hoped for so many years ago.

Last Thursday, at the AIA Utah (American Institute of Architects) Celebration of Architecture, principal Bruce Fallon was recognized with a Presidential Citation from the 2026 AIA Utah President, Clio Raynor. The citation recognized his "dedication to expanding the tent focused on representation of all our members in all regional committees." This comes after serving as a leader in the AIA Utah Central Section for many years, including two stints as president, along with time as the secretary-treasurer. Such an honor to be recognized for this service.

It’s exciting to see the details start coming together after many months of discussions and design decisions. Final finishes. Millwork. Storefront. It really starts to feel like a building and we are excited for UCCU to start serving their customers in their new East Bay Avenue location.

People ask why the credit union is still building offices with the increase in mobile and other online services that are available. It comes down to visibility and confidence. Many people still trust organizations that they can see and have a presence in their communities.

So we are excited to help UCCU grow their visibility and confidence for their customers in this community.

Higher educational institutions are focused on serving their students, preparing them for future careers. The Mountainland Technical College Provo campus remodel of the third floor provides space for training future nurses and healthcare professionals that will take care of families and individuals around the state and beyond. Simulation labs and classrooms are the heart of this facility. Working with Rod Lewis Construction was a pleasure and they did a great job! We are excited to see this place full of students learning how to become care givers that will bless so many.

Yes. I am that person who walks through a building, or in this case, the airport and photographs details and finishes used in the design. Architecture and design are everywhere and I love to see what ideas come out of the head of different people for different buildings. I love the ocean inspired design decisions that were made at the San Diego airport. What inspires your design ideas?

Progress on the new UCCU branch on the Utah Tech University campus. The transformation of a small eatery to include a credit union office and small retail space started with UCCU’s vision of bringing their “Love Where You Bank” mission to Southern Utah and particularly to serve the students on campus. Looking forward to the continued progress that Cameron Construction will be making over the next couple of months!

It's not often we get a puzzle made that includes work you've designed. So much fun to see the Millcreek Common Adventure Hub, the building that houses Millcreek Pizza House and the great Millcreek Common Plaza and Ice Ribbon designed by Terracon on the new Eric Dowdle puzzle. Thanks to Millcreek - Municipal Government for putting your vision all together!
