As you may have expected the current coronavirus issue has resulted in the cancellation of this Saturdays (03/21) District 4 spring
conference in Provo at the Utah County Historic Courthouse.

If and when it may be held will be decided at a later date.............. stay safe, and stay healthy.

Instead of holding two meeting this week we will cancel our regular Wednesday Post 13 meeting on March 18, 2020 and invite you to attend the District 4 meeting on Saturday March 21, 2020 in the Old Historic County Court House at 51 south University Avenue Provo, UT in the Ball room on the south end of the 3rd floor starting at 1:00 PM. Please Join us and find out what is going on in the Legion.

American Legion post 13 is scheduled to hold its annual Oratorical Contest this coming Wednesday January 15 starting at 6:00 PM at the Old County Court House 51 south University Avenue Provo, UT. Enter through the south Entrance then take either the Stairs or the elevators to 3rd floor in the Ball room on the south end of the building. Come support our youth. Light refreshments will be served after.

Please attend one of the 9 veterans programs in Utah County on Monday November 11, 2019 at Lehi Bridge of Honor 8-11 AM, at Timpview High School 10Am with lunch to follow for veterans and guests, at UVU Veterans Walk, followed by at 9:30 Commander Randy Edward Speaking, at Orem 10:00 AM, at Pleasant Grove 10:00 AM, at American Fork 10:00 AM, at Central Utah Veteran home in Payson 10:00 AM, at Scera's Theater 10:00 AM Musical, BYU Presidential and Veterans Celabration 3:00 pm. Plus several restaurants free meals to veterans. Free oil changes at Jiffy L**e to veterans..

Provo Post 13 of American Legion is planning on meeting on 3rd Wednesday October 16, 2019 starting at 7:00 PM in the Old County Court House up on the 3rd Floor. Please enter the building on the south end go to middle of the building and take either the stairs or the elevator to the 3rd floor. May have light refreshment after. Hope to see you there. To Any Member of the American Legion there is a training meeting for all members at The Hyatt House 9685 South Monroe Street, Sandy, Utah Saturday October 12, 2019 10:00 Am - 4:00 PM. Dear Post 13 Legionaires and friends,
Due to some legistical problems we were unable to make contact with the Boys State and Girl State contestants to make final arrangments. Therefore we have decided to postpone it until the 3rd Wednesday of the month September 18th, 2019 at the Old Utah County Court House on 3rd floor in the south end Ballroom Starting at 7;00 PM. Light meal is planned if we can still swing it. Commander hopes to bring information back to post following Nation Convention Next Week in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Thank you for another successful Year...

I called Friday and have confirmed the Ballroom for our Boys/Girls State Reports and our Annual Membership Drive. Please come... bring a friend... and enjoy a great evening. We had our first Sons of The American Legion to finish his 5 Star Program and the 10 Ideals. We have the National Eagle Scout Scholarship Recipient this year that will be going to National to represent Utah at our American Legion National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Come and participate in our Post Excellence for 2018-2019. This is the one time of the year you want to attend and join in the comradery of Provo Post 13. Awards, presentations from our youth and our time to be glimmered in the 100th Centennial of Dean Mendenhall, Provo Post 13. Honor us with your attendance and show our youth your Service by supporting them being there for them. A light meal will be served.

Your Membership Dues are welcomed for 2019-2020. Remember if we get our membership in before December 31st we become a 100% Membership post so that we can get our 100% Post Ribbon. We have made our 100% every year since 2009 but have not gotten our 100% Ribbon because some members do not send in their memberships on time. Remember that your free ($5,000) Insurance is only good if your memberships are currant by Dec.31st. for 2020. Membership years are from August 31st to September 1st on a yearly calendar year.

I will be representing Post 13 at National Convention as a registered Utah Delegate. I will be flying out Aug 22 the morning after out Post Meeting. and returning August 28th.
