We’re so proud to share that our CEO, Bill Hulterstrom, received the 2026 Alumni Achievement Award from the BYU Marriott School of Business.

Each year during homecoming week, Brigham Young University colleges recognize alumni for their contributions to their fields, their communities, and the university. Bill was honored at an awards luncheon and again on the field at halftime of the homecoming football game.

Those of us who work with Bill see these qualities every day. His care for this community and the people in it shapes everything we do at United Way of Utah County, and it’s wonderful to see that recognized.

Congratulations, Bill. We’re grateful to have you leading our team. 👏

BYU Cougars showed up big for Utah County today.💙

BYU Athletics staff and student-athletes hit the community in two ways:

🌱 Weeding, planting, and prepping a shed for a future mural at the Community Action community garden in Provo—including BYU football’s own Tiger 🐅 Bachmeier, sleeves rolled up and hands in the dirt right alongside everyone else!

🫟 Painting playground games at Meadow Brook Elementary in Springville, where kids could NOT contain their excitement. “BYU! BYU!” the whole recess. The students clearly consider the Cougars part of their team.

Grateful for partners like Community Action Services and Food Bank and Meadow Brook Elementary, and for BYU Athletics staff and student-athletes who understand that being a Cougar means showing up off the field too.

It’s been one week since our community came together to serve across Utah County on Day of Caring, and the impact is still sinking in. Over 2,000 volunteers from more than 50 companies rolled up their sleeves to complete 90 projects throughout our entire county. That kind of turnout is nothing short of incredible. Thank you to everyone who showed up and reminded us that our community cares. ❤️

To everyone who helped coordinate and plan these service projects, you are the real MVPs. Thank you for making this happen!

And a special thanks to all of the volunteer photographers that captured these awesome moments!

We’re still riding the high from our Day of Caring breakfast! 🥞

Over 2,000 volunteers filled the room to kick off a day of service, and watching our community show up like that never gets old.

Thank you to our sponsors for making it possible: BYU, UVU | Utah Valley University, Provo Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, Mountainland Technical College, Awardco, Rocky Mountain University, WGU, Intermountain Health, Origin Brand Merch, and Nu Skin USA Nu Skin’s Mission to be a Force for Good.

And a special thank you to Marriott Provo for breakfast, Provo Coffee + Cafe for the coffee, Nu Skin for the use of their lawn, and Audio Visions for sound and visuals.

Utah County, you showed up. BETTER TOGETHER ❤️💛💙

The biggest service day of the year is in ONE WEEK!🎉

Painting playgrounds is just one of the projects happening next week. Different tasks, same reason people show up: connection, and doing something nice for someone else.

We’ll see you next Thursday!

Huge thank you to Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine first year students that helped paint Taylor Elementary’s playground earlier this summer!

A year like this doesn’t happen without partners like these.

This past year, these corporate sponsors and foundations made an extraordinary commitment to Utah County — each investing to help us meet urgent community needs. Investments at this level create real, lasting change in early childhood education, financial stability, and mental & emotional health.

To our partners: thank you for leading the way!

For the kids and young teens attending our Summer Learning program at the United Way Center in American Fork, nothing is more exciting than learning from real-life engineers!

It was an honor to have Texas Instruments lead a STEM activity for our 90 students, and an even bigger privilege to see how thrilled the children were to program their robots.

Afterwards, the TI employees came to the center to help prepare back-to-school kits for the students. In incredible engineer fashion, they formed an assembly line and got to work immediately! The kids will be so grateful to receive the backpacks at the end of the program, filled with school supplies and notes of encouragement.

Having a local company that cares so much about the future of our community is truly wonderful. We can’t thank TI enough for their willingness to spend their time with us, serving the children of our community.
