ASPEN ACRES RECOVERY UPDATE
Following the community meeting on 10/28 in Beulah, we want to inform the community know that two design firms associated with the NRCS emergency watershed protection project will be conducting surveys on potential project areas in the coming days/weeks. This portion of the process is only surveying; they will not be breaking ground.

If you see the field teams and have questions, do not contact them. Please contact Recovery Manager Courtney Deviney and she will connect you with the appropriate resource or person to answer.
The field teams will not have information on hand about timelines or county updates.

SCAMMERS ARE AT IT AGAIN!!
We are warning residents of a scam that has led to the theft of thousands of dollars from local residents who thought they were assisting their bank's fraud department in an investigation into illegal activity on their account.
The scammers ask the victims to withdraw money or send debit cards as part of the investigation. In the past month, the sheriff's office has investigated several of these scam reports. Learn more about the scam and how to protect yourself from becoming a victim at

⭐ MEET THE DEPUTY ⭐
Deputy David Morey is a patrol deputy and 14-year veteran of the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently assigned as a school resource officer in School District 70.
Deputy Morey has been an SRO for the past four years and currently teaches DARE and serves as an SRO in the Pueblo West schools of Desert Sage Elementary, Prairie Winds Elementary and Skyview Middle School.
Morey said one of the most rewarding aspects of being an SRO is when former students see him and talk to him about their lives.
“It’s nice to know that I’ve made an impact on a few students.”
Thank you, Deputy Morey, for your professionalism and dedication to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our recent National Drug Take Back Event.

We had an incredible response, taking in 138.2 pounds of unwanted, unused medications. You prevented those drugs from getting into the wrong hands or getting into our waterways and impacting our environment. The meds will be safely disposed of by our partners with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Thank you for making a difference and caring about keeping our community safe.
