🚨🚨 Brush Fire Warning!!

GCFR members spent a combined total of over 6 hours fighting major grass/sagebrush/hayfield fires yesterday across the county.
Reminder to please watch your burn piles, dozer piles and other burn areas. Even piles that have been out for a day may have embers still burning underneath and can be spread by the wind. These dry conditions are dangerous for any kind of open burning.
Thank you to all our volunteers and TN Forestry for the hard work to keep our communities safe.
Thank you to Giles County E911 for handling all the traffic during that busy time.
Thank you to Giles EMS standing by to make sure our responders are taken care of in the event of an emergency.

‼️‼️LYNNVILLE RESIDENTS ‼️‼️

There will be about 2-3 nights in the next week or so that the lights on the track at the park will be on. This is because we are updating the lighting for our upcoming Tractor Pull in a few weeks. Please do not be alarmed as we will be out positioning the new lights which can be done most effective at night. Luckily, we will not be making much noise and will do everything we can to not be a annoyance to anyone. Thank you for your cooperation and we cannot wait to see everyone October 10th starting @ 5 PM! We have a heck of a show already lined up!

After a long wait we are proud to release our FREE CPR class schedule!

Last year we did one class per month but unfortunately we were unable to do that again this year due to not having enough AHA instructors available.

With that being said we have 3 classes available this year. The dates are as follows:
8-1-26 (Basic Life Support)
9-19-26 (HS first aid/CPR/AED)
11-14-26 (HS first aid/CPR/AED)

All classes start at 9am and are located at 3750 Columbia Hwy. Pulaski, TN 38478.

A number of factors have increased the risk of Wildfire in our area.
Consistent high temps. Ongoing lack of significant rainfall. Increase in agricultural and other machinery use. Continued land clearing for development.

This morning around 5am, GCFR and gilescounty_ems responded to an accident on I65 around the 12mm. Our members spent 3 hours there assisting with traffic control after emergency services were rendered.
Please be safe this weekend traveling to/from your destinations. Everyone would like to see you arrive and return safely.
