Get ready for a spooky Friday, Dragons! 🎃👻 On Friday, 10/30, students and staff are invited to come to school in their best Halloween costumes!

Please carefully review the PHS Dress-Up Policies below before finalizing your outfit:
No blood or gore
No toy weapons
No masks or face coverings
Must meet standard school dress code

We will be hosting a Halloween Pep Rally on Friday featuring a costume contest with awards for Best Solo, Best Duo, and Best Group costumes! 🏆 Following the assembly, students will be released to trick-or-treat through the high school halls before heading to 7th hour. 🍬🍫

Huge congratulations to Purcell High School’s very own Whitney Bruehl for being named "The Oklahoman" Student of the Week! 🎉🗞️

Whitney is an exemplary student-athlete who truly models excellence across academics, athletics, and the fine arts. As a two-time "Letter P" award recipient and a consistent regular on both the Principal’s and Superintendent’s Honor Rolls, her dedication to her education is outstanding. 📚✨

Beyond the classroom, Whitney is a powerhouse! She balances cheerleading, golf, and the Purcell Pride band, where she plays the flute and stepped up as Drum Major as just a junior. Known as a compassionate, quiet leader, she has fostered incredible camaraderie and guided the band to standout performances. 📣⛳🎶

Today, our seniors crossed another major graduation requirement off their list: CPR Training! ✅🩺

A HUGE shoutout to PHS teacher and certified CPR Trainer, Jack McNeely, along with several members of the Purcell Fire Department for leading today's sessions. We are incredibly grateful to our local firefighters and Mr. McNeely for taking time out of their busy schedules to equip our soon-to-be graduates with such a vital, life-saving skill. 🚒❤️

Students from Key Club, National Honor Society, and Youth CARE Coalition represented Purcell High School well at the inaugural Kiwanis Community Play Day event on Saturday October 17th. These teens led groups of elementary students through games and obstacle courses, and helped with calling the raffle tickets.

🏆 SUPERIOR RATING FOR THE DRAGON PRIDE MARCHING BAND! 🏆

Huge congratulations to the Purcell Dragon Pride Marching Band on an UNBELIEVABLE finish to an incredible season! Yesterday at the OSSAA Regional Marching Competition in Elgin, the Pride walked away with straight 1's and an overall SUPERIOR rating! 🥇🎷🥁

This recognition is earned through hundreds of hours of grueling work—from enduring the excruciating summer heat during July band camp, to early morning practices before the sun comes up, to late-night rehearsals under the lights once a week.

To our amazing band students and dedicated directors: your relentless work ethic, discipline, and passion paid off in a huge way. You earned every bit of this top honor!

Way to go, Dragon Pride Marching Band! We are so proud of you! 🔴⚪
