Yesterday, we were honored to celebrate and recognize Anne’s Artisan Center at New Vitae Wellness and Recovery on the expansion and recent improvements to their business!

In collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Borough of Quakertown, we were proud to present Anne’s Artisan Center with a $5,000 check through our Façade Grant program to help support the cost of these improvements, including new doors and windows. We were also thrilled to host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the expansion of their business! This beautiful new space will serve as both a storefront and creative workspace, providing residents at New Vitae with an opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork to the public.

The transformation of this space is truly spectacular, and we could not be happier for the owners, employees, and residents at New Vitae. Their hard work, dedication, and passion are evident in every detail of this renovation. We'd like to thank everyone that was able to join us for this special presentation. We are excited to see the incredible artwork and creativity that will come from this new space, and look forward to watching Anne’s Artisan Center continue to flourish!

We hope our Quakertown neighbors are safe and starting to dry out after this week’s flash flooding. Our basement at the shop took on water too, and we’re still cleaning up, so this reminder comes from one wet basement to another.

If you haven't already, now is a good time to move irreplaceable photographs, negatives, albums, home movies, and videotapes upstairs when possible. At the very least, keep them off the basement floor in a water-resistant container. A separate digital backup is worth making too.

If floodwater reached your family photographs, don’t assume they’re beyond saving. Bring them in for a free, no-pressure assessment. We digitize the original, restore the image digitally, and can provide a restored file or make a new print.

We’re thrilled to congratulate the Rail Yard Society on receiving $1,000,000 from the Pennsylvania Main Street Matters Grant! These grant funds will support the restoration of the historic Quakertown Freight House, helping preserve and revitalize an important piece of our community’s history for future generations. We’re excited to see this project come to life and look forward to the future renovations and plans for this landmark!

🎉 A Historic Day for Quakertown!

Wednesday marked a milestone that many thought would never happen.

The Rail Yard Society was honored to celebrate the official presentation of a $1,000,000 Pennsylvania Main Street Matters Grant for the restoration of the historic 1902 Quakertown Freight House.

This incredible investment brings us one step closer to transforming a building that sat abandoned for more than 30 years into a vibrant destination for weddings, community events, business meetings, educational programs, and so much more.

A heartfelt thank you to Governor Josh Shapiro the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority, State Senator Jarrett Coleman, State Representative Craig Staats, State Representative Gary Day, the Borough of Quakertown, our corporate sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who has believed in this vision.

We are especially grateful to everyone who joined us for the celebration and to those who continue to support this project. While this grant is a tremendous milestone, our work is not finished. Approximately $1 million in additional funding is still needed to complete the full restoration and bring our vision to life.

Together, we are preserving Quakertown's history and creating a legacy that will serve our community for generations to come.
