What makes a great Marine? It starts long before the battlefield.

It starts with the skills that are built through discipline, education, and a relentless commitment to becoming better every single day.

Swipe through to discover the 7 skills that every great Marine develops ➡️

⚖️ 1. Justice - Do what is right. Treat others fairly. Make decisions based on principle, not preference.
🧭 2. Judgment - Know what matters. Assess the situation, understand the consequences, and choose the course that serves the mission.
🤝 3. Dependability - Be the one others can count on. Do your duty. Keep your commitments. Deliver when it matters.
✊ 4. Integrity - Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Let your actions reflect your principles.
🎯 5. Decisiveness - Make the call. Gather the facts, consider the risks, and commit to a course of action.
🗣️ 6. Tact - Lead with purpose. Know when to speak, know how to listen, and deliver the message with respect.
⚡ 7. Initiative - See what needs to be done. Don't wait for the answer. Identify the opportunity and take purposeful action.

These are the skills the Marine Corps University Foundation is committed to developing in every Marine leader through world-class Professional Military Education.

Support the next generation of Marine leaders.

Twenty-five years ago, the world changed in an instant. 🕯️

We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost that morning. We remember the first responders who ran toward the flames. We remember the families forever changed by a single day. And we remember the thousands of Marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and guardians who answered the call in the years that followed, many of whom gave everything in the defense of this nation.

The Marine Corps University Foundation stands in solemn remembrance today, committed to building the leaders who ensure that the courage and sacrifice of September 11th and its aftermath is never in vain.

September 11th. Patriot Day. We Will Never Forget.
