Crime Prevention and Community Affairs visited the Alpha Phi Alpha Senior Citizens Center in Cambria Heights to discuss crimes that are affecting older adults including financial fraud and jewelry scams.

🚛 Our Quality of Life team conducted a Joint Tow Operation with NYPD Traffic which resulted in 2 heavy duty trucks towed, 5 vehicles towed, 3 barnacles placed on commercial vehicles, and 14 parking summonses issued. 🚗

Be aware that scammers are targeting older adults and attempting to steal jewelry. These people may be driving up to older adults in the street or sidewalk. They distract you with conversation and swap out your jewelry.
