What an amazing afternoon of community, inclusion, and support! 💙🐢

Following our Annual Talent Show, PS 55 families came together for the Autism & Developmental Disabilities Walk & Resource Fair at Phil "Scooter" Rizzuto Park. Families enjoyed a meaningful walk, connected with valuable community resources, learned about support services, and picked up lots of great giveaways along the way!

Thank you to everyone who joined us in raising awareness and celebrating acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for all. It was wonderful to see our Terrapin community come together to support such an important cause. 💙✨

On behalf of all the Terrapins, we want to say THANK YOU for everything you do. From answering a million questions, tracking down information faster than a detective, keeping families connected, and somehow always knowing exactly who to call and where to go, you make the impossible look easy.

Your kindness, dedication, and endless support help make our school feel like home. Whether you're helping a family, supporting staff, or cheering on our students, you do it all with a smile and a heart full of care.

We are pretty sure there is not enough coffee, chocolate, or appreciation in the world to fully thank you for all that you do, but we're giving it our best shot!

Get ready for our BUY 1, GET 1 FREE Book Fair! 🎉🐢

📖 The Book Fair will officially open on Saturday, May 30th at 11:30 AM before the Talent Show and will continue on Monday during the school day!

🗓️ Book Fair Dates: Saturday, May 30th – Wednesday, June 3rd

📚 Students will visit the fair with their classes throughout the week.

✉️ Please send money labeled in an envelope with your child’s name.

There will be so many exciting books for every reader — adventures, mysteries, graphic novels, favorite characters, and more! ❤️

We can’t wait to see our PS 55 Terrapins enjoying the magic of reading together! 📚✨

🎒3K Offer Notifications – May 19th 📧

Today, May 19th, families who applied online for Pre K for the upcoming school year should have received an email notification with their child’s offer.

Families can accept or decline the offer through their MySchools account.

📬 Families who did not apply online will receive their offer letter by mail.

If you accept a 3K seat at P.S. 55, please be sure to:

1️⃣ Accept the offer through the MySchools portal

2️⃣ Call the school 📞 (718-849-3845 ext 0) and ask to speak with Mrs. Prunty.
