The Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) wishes a safe and exciting ride to all who will be participating in the 2026 TD Five Boro Bike Tour!

LNDCAC will be 1 of 3 New York City Volunteer EMS agencies supporting the FDNY as one of dozens of ambulances, hundreds of EMS personnel, and thousands of first responders along the 40-mile route

Our ambulance will be far from home posting in Long Island City. We will be covering medical emergencies from the Queens side of the Queens Boro Bridge (Mile 15) to the Pulaski Bridge (Mile 22).

It is with sadness to share the passing of Associate Member Joanna Stenzel on Friday, April 24th.

Since February 8th, 1984, Joanna began as a Dispatcher at the Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) answering phone calls on our general office and emergency line along with dispatching our ambulance crews. Since then, Joanna has served as Corresponding Secretary for many years, playing an integral part in our Fund Drive Mailing Campaigns before, during, and after. Over the span of decades, Joanna would write thousands of personalized handwritten thank you letters to those that have donated to our cause

With her decades of service to LNDCAC, Joanna was also a beloved congregant of 80+ years and dedicated secretary of Christ Lutheran Chruch of Little Neck until their closure in 2022, a Girl Scout leader of Troop 4-470, and avid marcher in the Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade

With a huge loss to the community, we come together to celebrate Joanna’s life.

On March 30th, 1958, the Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) commenced its operations.

As we celebrate 68 years of history and service, we would like to take a quick stroll down memory lane and reminisce upon the ambulances and members that have greatly served the Little Neck-Douglaston community. We honor our past and thank our present members who continue to serve our community outside of their school, work, and familial obligations.

As we begin our 69th year of service, we look forward in continuing our mission in providing emergency medical services and ambulance transportation at no direct cost to our patients.

While what we share is a glimpse of our history, we’d love your help in building it! If anyone has further photos, videos, or stories of LNDCAC from the past, please feel free to reach us by message, email via [email protected], or call us at (718) 423-2333 to share more.

Thank you for your continued support and generosity

Family member of community members of Little Neck-Douglaston is missing. Please help in spreading the word

As the first day of spring rolls around, the Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) would like to reflect on this past winter.

With the extreme cold and harsh weather conditions, the largest and longest nursing strike in New York City history, and multiple mutual aid activations, this winter was a challenging and busy time for all. Between the snow that remained piled high between our ambulances and our patients, and the meaningful interactions we had with different agencies, our membership was able to learn from these experiences to better support the community and our patients for the future.

We are all looking forward to the warmer weather and bluer skies. Happy spring!

The Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) was able to welcome the eager 4th grade classes of P.S. 94Q to our headquarters across two days, Tuesday January 20th and Wednesday January 21st, totaling 75 students.

With such a large group, came a large amount of planning, preparation, and coordination, but we were ultimately able and happy to show the students what we do, and how we do it. They were given tours of our ambulance, shown equipment and gear that we carry, and taught how to give chest compressions. Despite the temperatures being very cold, the students did not fail to bring their fiery energy. It is always rewarding to see how excited our future adults are to experience and learn, and we are always glad to help teach and satiate curious questions

Thank you to the school staff for coordinating this visit and for managing such a large group of children! Your work is also seen and well appreciated!

This past Saturday, December 13th, the Little Neck-Douglaston Community Ambulance Corps, Inc. (LNDCAC) participated at the 8th Annual Douglaston Winter Festival.

While the temperatures were low, our members dressed warmly as they showcased our equipment, gave tours of our ambulance to curious eyes, both big and little, and showed the community who we are and what we do.

Big thank you to the Douglaston Local Development Corporation for once again inviting us to participate along with everyone that came to visit us. We were glad to come support the Douglaston Local Development Corporation, enjoy the talented musicians and artists, and engage with our community!
