"Love Makes the Difference" Hour Children, Inc. They generally have few job skills, little education and few, if any, financial resources.

is a multi-faceted family service organization that provides housing, permanent and transitional, and a wide array of supportive services that transform the lives of women and their families involved in the criminal justice system. Our organization name was chosen by our dear friend, Jean Roulet, because the children of incarcerated mothers lives are dictated by the "hour" of the mother's arrest,

Hour Children is proud and grateful to have been selected as the winner of this year's Morgan Stanley U.S. Strategy Challenge. This recognition reflects both the strength of our mission and the impact of our work to expand financial literacy and support the women and families we serve. Our project focused on a hybrid education model that includes Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®)-led instruction, one-on-one virtual coaching, and on-demand support to help participants build long-term financial stability.

A sincere thank you to the Morgan Stanley volunteers! This is what a meaningful collaboration looks like. 💚

🕊️Hour Children honors the life and contributions of Manuela “Manny” Morgado, a valued incarcerated staff member of our Bedford Hills Parenting Center community.

A memorial to celebrate Manny’s life will be held at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility on March 17.

For over four years, Manny played a vital role in the Parenting Center, bringing creativity, compassion, and dignity to her work. Through art-based classes and her leadership as Creative Director for events, she helped parents express themselves, reconnect with their children, and build confidence.

Staff respected Manny, the community trusted her, and everyone who worked with her deeply valued her. Her presence made the Parenting Center not only functional but also lively.

We appreciate Manny’s contributions and the lasting impact she has had on the families and communities we serve. 💚

To kick off Women’s History Month, we’re starting at home, and that begins with the women behind Hour Children’s mission — the ones quietly building second chances, one hour, one mother, one family at a time. 💚
