Wow, what an emotional and bittersweet day! ❤️
Today, I officially retired after 32 wonderful years with NCW Libraries at the Quincy Public Library! 📚❤️
It has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve this amazing community for so many years. As I reflect on my career, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride, gratitude, and appreciation for the people I’ve met, the relationships I’ve built, and the incredible changes I’ve witnessed along the way.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the difference our library has made in the lives of so many people. The library is so much more than just books. It’s a place where people can learn, connect, grow, and feel a sense of belonging. I’ve always believed in providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming space where everyone feels valued, and I’m so thankful to have been part of making that possible.
To our wonderful community, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives for the past 32 years. Your kindness, friendships, encouragement, and continued support have meant more to me than you will ever know. You’ve made my career incredibly rewarding, and I will forever cherish the memories we’ve made together.
To my amazing library staff, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and the love you put into serving our community. I am so proud of you, and I hope our community will continue to support and appreciate all that you do. You truly make a difference every single day!
As I close this chapter of my life and begin a new one, I do so with a very full heart. While saying goodbye is certainly bittersweet, I leave with so much gratitude and pride for the career I’ve had and the community I’ve been so fortunate to serve.
Thank you, Quincy, for 32 unforgettable years! It’s been an incredible journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! ❤️📚
Here’s to new beginnings and the next chapter! 🥂❤️
