TROPICAL WEATHER UPDATE — GADSDEN COUNTY, FL

Gadsden County Emergency Management continues to monitor the tropical disturbance located over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico.

According to the National Hurricane Center’s 8:00 AM EDT update on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, a trough of low pressure is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next couple of days.

🔴 Formation Chance:• Through 48 hours: High — 90%• Through 7 days: High — 90%

The system is expected to move east-northeastward through the middle portion of the Gulf of Mexico before turning northward. It remains too early to determine specific impacts to the northern Gulf Coast, including Gadsden County.

At this time, no direct impacts to Gadsden County have been identified. However, residents should remain weather-aware, review emergency plans, check disaster supplies, and continue monitoring official information.

Gadsden County Emergency Management will continue to monitor this system in coordination with the National Hurricane Center, National Weather Service Tallahassee, and Florida Division of Emergency Management and will provide updates as conditions warrant.

⚠️ Stay informed. Stay prepared.
