We had a wonderful time last night making Texas-style HoCo Mums with out Quincy University colors! Our native Texan students (and archivist) shared stories of this amazingly campy tradition, and we hope y'all will come back next year to make them again! What do YOU think of Texas-style mums?

09/16/2026

We're bringing Texas-style homecoming mums to QU to show our team and school spirit! There are still slots open if you'd like to make a mum or garter, so email Lindsey Witt at [email protected] to claim your space before supplies run out! Come by Brenner Library at 7 tonight to make your own!

We celebrated the late, great Dolly Parton today. Her Imagination Library has reached millions of children and will continue to do so. In her honor, we asked if QU students, faculty and staff would show some of the books they loved when they were younger. As she said, "If I'm remembered 100 years from now, I hope it will not be for looks but for books." We will always love you, Dolly. 💖🦋🎵
