Alex Mendez for State Senate I'm Alex Mendez, and I'm an Independent candidate for MA State Senate. My district includes: Quincy, Braintree, Holbrook, Abington, and Rockland.

10/23/2026

I’m Alex Mendez from Quincy and I’m running as an Independent for State Senate.

As state senator I want to work on directing our state’s $62B
budget on projects like:

- free trade schools
- low-cost child care
- free community health care clinics
- building Tram routes through out Greater Boston to: fix traffic, stimulate our entire state’s economy, connect all MBTA lines, lower housing costs, revitalize downtowns, help small businesses, and grow our economy.

Check out my website and IG page for details.

And remember to vote November 3rd, or anytime before at your early voting site.

Thank you!

If you’re a voter in Quincy, here are your two candidates for State Senate.

On one hand, Alex is an ambitious, hardworking, working class candidate who wants to work on the big projects that will have the greatest impact on our state, our economy, and our communities.

John, on the other hand, thinks small, and his small thinking is hurting working class families and our state, as well as holding us back from how great of a state we can actually be.

Check out our IG pages, websites, and our most recent interviews (links in bio), so you can make the informed decision for yourself.

It’s time for change, and I hope you agree.

I’m Alex Mendez from Quincy, and I’m running as an Independent for State Senate because our state legislature is lacking two things: Honesty and Ambition.

Right now, our state government has a budget of $62B a year, and I want us to put that money towards helping working-class families and bringing them stability and hope.

But, the problem is that our current politicians lack an ambitious vision for a better future, and instead they rely on dishonest back door politics to waste our tax dollars on programs that either: make rich corporations richer, or on feel-good band-aid social programs that do nothing to fix the underlying problem of our broken economy.

And all that nonsense needs to stop.

So, I am running as an Independent to put politics aside and instead put the working-class families of Massachusetts first, with programs and policies that can actually help us.

For more, check out my IG posts and my website (link in Bio) for the programs I want our state to have so that we can simultaneously end people’s struggles and also bring a booming state economy that can uplift us all.

It’s time for real change, and I want to bring it.

So, if you’re a progressive, independent, conservative, or anyone else who thinks we can be doing so much more to make life better for people in Massachusetts, then we’re already on the same page - and it’s time for us to make a change.

And most of all, remember to vote on Tuesday, November 3rd!

Here’s why the economy sucks.

We have an “extractive economy.”

We have what noble prize winners Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson (and many others) call an “extractive economy,” where a small group of people and corporations gain enormous market control and leverage that power to exploit workers and consumers in order to increase their enormous profits.

Systems like these suck up all the wealth and opportunity from society and then give nothing back to the workers and people, and as history shows, this ultimately destroys economies and countries.

We are all seeing it today in higher prices and lower wages, causing all of our money to get sucked up by major corporations, with a future that looks uncertain.

Now, we are at the threshold of enormous economic problems, unless we think big, get serious, and take political action to protect workers, small businesses, and our democratic systems. So let’s do it.

In the face of this giant problem, we shouldn’t lose hope, instead we, the American people, should take action to curb the power of major corporations and put the American people over profits.

And that’s what I want to do as state senator.
