Halloween may still be a couple of weeks away, but that didn’t stop us from getting into the spooky spirit!

Our officers, along with two of our recruits currently attending the academy, had a great time handing out candy and spending time with members of the community at the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT)!

Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, create lasting memories, and build positive relationships with the next generation.

A special thank you to DOCJT for hosting such a fun event and allowing us to be part of the Halloween festivities!

From all of us at the Radcliff Police Department, stay safe and have a Happy Halloween!

Today, our law enforcement family across Kentucky mourns the loss of one of our own.

Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips, Unit 369, made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

The men and women of the Radcliff Police Department extend our deepest condolences to Trooper Phillips’ family, friends, and his brothers and sisters with the Kentucky State Police.

We stand with you during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Trooper Phillips. We have the watch from here.

We had a great time at the McDonald’s Family Event! Our officers enjoyed spending time with local families, meeting some awesome kids, and building positive connections within our community.

The kids got the chance to check out our police cars and fire trucks, ask questions, and even climb in and see some of the equipment up close!

We also had a blast sitting down and playing board games with the kids. It was a great reminder that some of the best community interactions happen when we simply take the time to spend a little time together.

A huge thank you to McDonald’s for hosting such a fun event and to everyone who came out to visit with us! We look forward to seeing you all again soon!

School Starts Tomorrow!

Hardin County Schools will begin the 2026–2027 school year tomorrow, Thursday, August 06, 2026. As students return to the classroom, we ask everyone to help make the first day a safe one.

The start of a new school year means increased traffic, school buses on the road, children walking to school, and busy school zones. Plan ahead and leave a few minutes earlier than normal to give yourself extra time to reach your destination. Those few extra minutes can help reduce stress, prevent rushed decisions, and make our roads safer for everyone.

Please remember to:
• Watch for children walking to and from school and waiting at bus stops.
• Stop for school buses when required by law.
• Obey all posted school zone speed limits.
• Stay alert, eliminate distractions, and be patient with other drivers.

A few extra minutes of planning can make a lifetime of difference. Together, we can help ensure every student arrives safely at school and returns home at the end of the day.

From all of us at the Radcliff Police Department, we wish our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, and rewarding school year!
