Today, our upper elementary and middle school students had a wonderful opportunity to learn about the voting process and how citizens can use their voices and votes to help shape our government! 🇺🇸

While visiting, we had the pleasure of meeting Allen Thomas, a Hoke County Commissioner who is running for reelection. We’re grateful to Commissioner Thomas and the other volunteers who welcomed our students, answered their questions, and helped bring the voting process to life.

We love opportunities like this that take learning beyond the classroom and help our students better understand how our government works and the importance of being informed, engaged citizens. What a great hands-on learning experience!

We have some BIG news for Waymark Academy!

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Silverhawks Homeschool Sports of the Sandhills! 🎉

Through this partnership, our students ages 11–18 will have opportunities to participate in organized sports alongside other homeschool and private-school athletes, growing in teamwork, leadership, character, and faith.

As we look toward the future of athletics at Waymark, we’re thankful to partner with an organization that shares our Christ-centered values and is helping us create opportunities for our students today while laying the foundation for what’s to come!

We’ll be sharing posts from Silverhawks on our page to help spread the word about upcoming sports, tryouts, and opportunities for interested families. Be sure to follow along!

We’re excited to see how God uses this partnership to open doors for our students and help athletics grow at Waymark!

Last week, our students had such a special time visiting Puppy Creek Fire Department! They loved getting to meet our local firefighters, explore the fire trucks, and learn more about fire safety and what it takes to serve and protect our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful folks at Puppy Creek Fire Department for welcoming us with open arms and taking the time to make this visit so meaningful for our students. The lessons you shared will stick with them long after our visit!

We are so thankful for our local firefighters and all they do for our families and our community. Thank you for being such amazing role models and for always being there when our community needs you most! ❤️

Teaching our children about fire safety today helps keep them safe tomorrow. 🔥🧯🚒
