Great food, meaningful fellowship and encouraging conversations marked the Faith & Blue event hosted by Troop B, Districts 1 and 11.

Chaplain Robert Guynn shared words of encouragement, while Lt. Pait reminded everyone of the purpose behind the work and the importance of building strong community relationships.

Thank you to the retirees, church members, community members and pastors who joined us. We’re grateful for the support and look forward to continuing to build connections that make a lasting impact.

Troop D, Districts 2 and 9, partnered with Got Your 6 and Life Community Church for a Faith & Blue food drive, collecting enough food to support at least 75 local families through the Salvation Army.

Faith & Blue moments have been rolling in from across North Carolina! 💙

Recently, NCSHP members volunteered at Tri-County Christian Ministry, helping bag and distribute food. Members also delivered backpacks to Jonesville Elementary School and CB Eller Elementary School.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing highlights of our troopers connecting with faith communities and the people we serve. Each gathering is an opportunity to build relationships, strengthen trust and get to know one another beyond the uniform.

Follow along as we spotlight the connections and community spirit that make Faith & Blue meaningful.

The SHP Capsize Drill, introduced with North Carolina Highway Patrol Command College Session 001 in 2023, continues to build water-rescue awareness, leadership, and teamwork skills for law enforcement professionals across NC.

Conducted by the NCSHP Swift Water Rescue Team at Lake Wheeler, the hands-on training prepares participants to safely operate rescue boats, respond to capsizing scenarios, and make calm, informed decisions during swift-water and flood emergencies. The drill strengthens interagency partnerships while reinforcing the communication, trust, and critical-incident leadership skills needed to protect communities during severe weather and flood events.
