Join us in Western North Carolina on June 9 and 10, 2027, for the return of Resilience Fest!

Not quite a conference and more than just a festival, Resilience Fest brings together people and organizations with firsthand experience in community-based disaster response and recovery. Over two days, we’ll gather around power, water, communication, shelter, food, money, and culture. Get hands-on with renewable response technologies. Learn from peers at every stage of recovery. Make space to reflect on the toll this work takes. Celebrate with people who have been through it. Then we’ll prepare for the next one, together.

In July 2025, 200 people from 120 organizations gathered in Black Mountain for our first Resilience Fest. We met, laughed, cried, learned, danced, trained, shared, and prepared. Read the recap here:

On the evening of June 10, stay for AMPlify Appalachia, a benefit concert hosted by NC Sustainable Energy Association. The night brings together local music and short remarks from WNC leaders and organizations. Proceeds support Footprint Project, Land of Sky Regional Council, and long-term clean energy recovery across the region.

Mark your calendar and RSVP for Resilience Fest at the link below to get a discount code when tickets go on sale. Venue details, ticket sales, and the full program are coming in the months ahead.

Gov. Josh Stein officially proclaimed this week as Clean Energy Week in North Carolina, citing clean energy's contribution to the state's job market and economic development. North Carolina ranks No. 8 in the country for clean energy jobs and No. 1 for clean energy jobs in rural areas.

"The cost of electricity for residential consumers is increasing, and energy demand is growing; solar and wind energy are among the cheapest forms of energy generation to build and maintain," Stein said in the proclamation.

How did you celebrate Clean Energy Week?

A new, free program is coming to the Triangle to help homeowners make their homes more energy efficient, which could end up saving them money in the long run. Residents in Triangle communities including Raleigh and Chapel Hill may qualify for rebates, and Electrify the Triangle’s home energy navigators can help them put together a plan to make their homes more energy efficient.

A new, free program can help Triangle residents learn which rebates they qualify for and find vetted contractors to work on their homes.
