Want your free patches today? Find the NCYOEC booth at the state fair, and we’ll hand them off free of charge! Just show us a photo of your child participating in an outdoors activity, and we’ll give them a patch to commemorate the achievement!

Find us in the education building, near gates 1 and 12!

With our 2026-27 Trailblazers Club cycle in full swing, we thought it would be a great idea to look back on one of the trips our funding has made possible in the past — Jackson County early College’s Tuckaseegee River rafting adventure!

We can’t wait to showcase all of the amazing trips our Trailblazers Clubs go on this year! Stay tuned to see what they get up to next!

This year’s N.C. State Fair wildlife button, a favorite collectible for fair attendees since first introduced in 1981, will feature the American Mink.

Pick up this year's button at the N.C. Wildlife Law Enforcement booth at the Safety City area near Gate 10.

So, who has been collecting these buttons over the years? Does anyone have a full collection?
