Save the date, Hawks! One of our most favorite events of the year is coming! 🎉

Join us for Walk & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 7th! Once again, we’ll meet up at Raleigh Grande beginning at 7:35am, grab a quick group picture, and then head out together for our walk to school at 7:45am. And we’re excited to have Raleigh PD escorting us across Lynn Rd. again this year! 👮‍♀️

****As a reminder, this is not a drop off event. All students must be accompanied by a parent or adult for the duration of the walk.

Welcome, Future Hawks! 💜💛

We had the sweetest time at Popsicles on the Playground welcoming our newest little Hawks on August 19! 🍦🎉

Our incoming kindergartners—the Class of 2039—got to meet some new friends, explore the playground, and get a little taste of what it means to be part of the Hilburn family.

We are SO excited to welcome these future Hawks into the nest! 🦅💜💛 We can’t wait to watch them learn, grow, make memories, and show us all the amazing things they can do.

Welcome to Hilburn, Class of 2039! We’re so glad you’re here! 💜💛

💜💛 Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Hilburn Hero PTA Award recipient, Monica Dongre! 💛💜

The Hilburn Hero PTA Award recognizes a volunteer who embodies the heart of our PTA—someone who is hardworking, resilient, dependable, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile.

Monica is the perfect example of a Hilburn Hero. Between leading our Family Night Out events and our Silent Auction, she helped raise an incredible $9,500 for the Hilburn Academy PTA last school year. Every dollar was reinvested into programs, events, and resources that benefited our students, teachers, and staff.

What makes her impact even more remarkable is that she accomplished all of this while working full-time as an attorney, and being an incredible wife and mom to two very busy boys. Through it all, she still found time to attend meetings, volunteer, lead with kindness, and make everyone around her feel welcome.

Monica, thank you for your selfless dedication to our Hilburn community. We are so grateful for everything you do, and we are proud to celebrate you as our Hilburn Hero! 🦅💜💛
