946,811 people came through the gates last year.
The all-time record is 1,091,887, set in 2010.
The busiest single day ever drew 151,647 people.

Mondays are rough for business owners in Raleigh, and not just because of the inbox.

In 2025, Raleigh police took 97 commercial burglary reports on Mondays, three times as many as on Sundays. The top reporting hours were 8 and 9 a.m., which is when owners and job-site crews arrive to find what happened over the weekend.

Weekend and overnight patrols close that gap for offices, retail, and construction sites.

END OF WATCH — FIREFIGHTER ANDREW BROKES

Durham Fire Department | Durham, North Carolina

The U.S. Honor Flag and The Honor Network mourn the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Andrew Brokes of the Durham Fire Department.

Firefighter Brokes was killed while operating at an early-morning structure fire on Marly Drive in Durham. During firefighting operations, a structural collapse trapped firefighters working inside. Firefighter Brokes made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his community. Two additional Durham firefighters were injured.

Today, we remember the man behind the badge — a firefighter who answered the alarm, went forward when others needed help, and gave his life carrying out the mission he had sworn to perform.

Our hearts are with Firefighter Brokes’ family, his brothers and sisters of the Durham Fire Department, the injured firefighters, and the entire Durham community.

The U.S. Honor Flag stands ready to honor Firefighter Andrew Brokes and his family.

Rest easy, Firefighter Brokes.
