Found Medic 74 at the Garner Main Station! If you see them today, wave hello! đź‘‹

An out-of-this-world view from Garner!

Our District Captain at Garner Main Station captured this incredible video of an unusual sight in the sky over Wake County early this morning!

The bright white glow and trailing cloud were caused by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, at approximately 6:33 a.m. The rocket was carrying supplies and scientific equipment destined for the International Space Station.

The impressive display, often called a “space jellyfish,” happens when sunlight reaches the rocket’s exhaust high above Earth, illuminating the expanding cloud before sunrise.

What an incredible sight to start the day right here in Garner! 🚀

We are heartbroken for our brothers and sisters at the Durham Fire Department. We are so sorry for your loss, and Firefighter Andrew Brokes will be remembered as a Hero.

Zillie was present to pay her respects yesterday morning. Working in public safety is dangerous, and line-of-duty deaths affect the entire community. Keep Durham Fire and Durham EMS in your thoughts and prayers.
