🚧 Chip Seal Season is Here! 🚧

Our annual chip seal program is underway to help preserve and extend the life of our roadways. This preventative maintenance treatment protects pavement from weathering, improves traction, and helps reduce future repair costs.

What is chip seal?
Chip seal is a roadway preservation process where a layer of liquid asphalt is applied to the road surface and then covered with small crushed rock. The surface is rolled to embed the rock into the asphalt, creating a durable, protective layer. Drivers can expect loose gravel for a short period after application, so please slow down and use caution when traveling through work zones.

📍 Scheduled work for South County the beginning of July:

245th to Birch Place
Birch Place to Ash Place
247th Place
248th Place
250th Place

Please be alert for crews and equipment, follow all posted traffic control signs, and drive slowly through work areas to help keep everyone safe.

Camp One Road is now OPEN to the public.

⚠️🏍️ Please use EXTREME CAUTION the road surface is rough.

NEXT STEPS - Once lines are buried and the new guardrail is installed our county crew will fix the road surface to finalize the project.

*ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER*
Camp One Road (North Pacific County) will be closed beginning June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026 for repairs to the road and to mitigate scouring under the Camp One Bridge.

Closure will be between Mile Post 1.38 (Heckard Road and Armstrong Road intersection) and Mile Post 2.07 (Old Bullard Road and Camp One Road intersection).
