Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan
At 7 PM on September 17, 2026, the Town of Frye Island’s Planning Board will hold a public hearing about the 2026 update to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. From 2019 to December 2025, the Planning Board held dozens of virtual meetings and reviewed and updated almost every aspect of the 2002 plan to reflect the current situation on Frye Island and the 10-year outlook. We presented the draft plan to the ExCom in December 2025 and made minor edits in response to their comments. The State requires that we seek out community engagement and collect, document, and address public input in the final version of a plan submitted for State review. Therefore, we are holding this hearing on September 17, at 7 PM, via the Zoom link in the Island calendar web page, and welcome your thoughts and comments.
