💜💜October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month💜💜

Domestic violence affects more than the person experiencing it. It impacts families, friendships, workplaces, and entire communities. Too often, the people carrying its weight feel they must do so in silence. 💜

The Willacy County District Attorney’s Victim Assistance Unit is proud to join the Rio Grande Valley District Attorney Coalition in bringing our community together for a press conference and resource fair. We gather to honor survivors, remember those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence, and help people find the support they deserve.

To anyone who has experienced abuse: We believe you. What happened to you was not your fault. You deserve to be safe, and you deserve support on your own terms.

We hope you will join us—not only to raise awareness, but to help make our community a place where someone asking for help is met with compassion, resources, and people ready to listen. 💜

Patriot Day – Never Forget 9/11
Today, we pause to honor and remember the innocent lives lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

On this 25th anniversary, we reflect on the courage of first responders, the unity of our nation, and the resilience that continues to define us as Americans.

As your Willacy County Constable, Precinct 1, I encourage everyone to observe a moment of silence in memory of those we lost. Let us also take this day to support one another, serve our communities, and uphold the values of freedom, strength, and patriotism that make our country great. We will never forget.

We will always protect and serve.
