Lady Wolves Celebrate Pink Game with Dominant Sweep of Sacred Heart
The Rayne Lady Wolves made their annual Pink Game one to remember Monday night, earning a convincing 3-0 sweep over the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau. Rayne came out strong, winning the first two sets by identical 25-17 scores before closing out the match with a dominant 25-4 third-set victory.
The Lady Wolves brought the energy on both sides of the net, combining aggressive serving, powerful attacking and a strong defensive effort to finish the night in three sets.
Kailyn R. led the offensive attack with 10 kills, 4 aces and 16 digs. Bailey S. made her presence felt at the net with 6 kills, 10 blocks, an ace and a dig, while Shariah L. contributed 4 kills and 2 blocks. Lanie M. added 4 aces, 2 kills, 8 digs and an assist.
Morgan M. helped guide the offense with 12 assists while recording 2 kills and 7 digs. Samantha T. added 8 assists, 3 aces and 3 digs, while Ivy G. contributed a kill, a dig and 2 blocks. Kirsten T. chipped in 7 digs, and Riley L. added an ace.
Beyond the victory, the night carried a special meaning as the Lady Wolves took the court in their pink jerseys to honor those who have fought and those who continue to fight against breast cancer. The team photo captures the girls standing together in support of the fighters, survivors and families whose lives have been changed by this disease. The pink jerseys represent more than a game-day tradition — they are a reminder of the strength, courage and hope that bring communities together.
