❤️ Red Ribbon Week: Making a Difference, One Student at a Time! ❤️

The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office enjoyed visiting with our local schools during Red Ribbon Week, reminding students of the importance of staying drug-free and making healthy, positive choices!

Students also had the opportunity to see our K-9 team in action during an exciting demonstration! 🐕‍🦺🚔 The demonstration gave students a firsthand look at how our K-9 deputies help keep our community safe.

Red Ribbon Week is a great reminder that the choices we make today can shape our future. We are proud to partner with our local schools to educate, encourage, and empower our students to live drug-free!

A big thank-you to our schools and educators for allowing us to be part of this important message. Together, we can build a safer, healthier future for Richland Parish!

WHAT IS TRIAD? 💙
TRIAD is a partnership dedicated to meeting the unique needs of senior citizens throughout Richland Parish. The program is guided by a Senior Advisory Council known as S.A.L.T. (Seniors And Lawmen working Together).

TRIAD brings together the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office, local police departments throughout the parish, and the Council on Aging to work toward a common goal: reducing the fear of crime and improving the quality of life for our senior citizens.

Through education, collaboration, and community involvement, TRIAD works to ensure our seniors feel safe, supported, and connected.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support these efforts and help make Richland Parish a better place for our senior community!

🚨 SCAM ALERT – RICHLAND PARISH 🚨

The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) has received reports of scammers posing as technical support representatives for electronic payment services (i.e. Cash App, Venmo, Pay Pal, & Zelle) in an attempt to gain access to individuals’ phones, access their accounts, and move their money without authorization.

If you are selling items on Facebook Marketplace and accepting payments through Cash App or other electronic payment apps, please use EXTREME CAUTION. Never give anyone access to your phone or share sensitive information with someone you do not know or trust.

If you receive a suspicious call, remember to:

❌ DO NOT allow anyone to access or control your phone.
📵 HANG UP immediately if you suspect a scam.
📞 CONTACT RPSO at 318-728-2071 to report suspicious activity.

Scammers often rely on fear, pressure, and a sense of urgency to trick their victims. STOP, THINK, AND VERIFY before taking action.

Please stay alert, protect your personal information, and share this warning to help keep others in our community safe. It is always better to be cautious than to risk losing your hard-earned money to a scammer!
