🍂 Leaf collection season is here!

The City of Reading’s Public Works crews begin curbside loose-leaf collection Monday, October 12. Please wait until collection begins to place loose leaves at the curb, and keep branches, brush, grass clippings and other debris out of leaf piles.

Bagged leaves will continue to be collected on residents’ regular yard waste collection day. Remember: biodegradable paper bags only — no plastic bags.

📅 Leaf collection is scheduled through December 4, weather and conditions permitting.

See the graphics for the full collection schedule and important reminders.

Today, we brought the City of Reading to Harrisburg for City of Reading Day at the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

Our message was clear: Reading is Ready.

Ready to build. Ready to invest. Ready to grow.

We highlighted the strength of our workforce, the growth happening in our city, the opportunities ahead, and why Reading is ready to play an even bigger role in Pennsylvania’s economic future.

Thank you to the college and university leaders, business leaders, community partners, and legislative leaders who joined us and continue to invest in Reading and believe in what our city can become.

The future is bright, and we’re ready for it.

Reading is Ready!
