Providing reliable service means delivering consistency and dependability every day.
One way utilities measure reliability is through the System Average Interruption Frequency Index (SAIFI), which tracks how often an RMLD customer experiences a power outage each year. In 2025, RMLD's SAIFI was just 0.48, meaning an RMLD customer experienced an average of fewer than one power outage during the year, even when major events* are included. That's well below the regional municipal utility average of 0.80 outages and the national average of 0.94 outages for similarly sized municipal electric providers.
Reliable service doesn't happen by accident. It happens when local employees, residents, businesses and communities work together toward a common goal. That's how we're .
* RMLD APPA major event (ME) threshold is 2.97 minutes. MEs for RMLD include outages greater than 2.97 minutes affecting at least 10% of customers.
