DATE OCCURRED: September 14, 2026
TIME OCCURRED: 1830 Hours
LOCATION: 445 Antelope Boulevard
VICTIM: Withheld/ 72-year-old female, Red Bluff

SUMMARY:

On Monday, September 14, 2026, at approximately 1630 hours, Officers from the Red Bluff Police Department responded to the area of 445 Antelope Boulevard, for the report of a semi-truck striking a pedestrian.

During the initial accident investigation, it was determined a 36-year-old male driver of a semi-truck was travelling eastbound on Antelope Boulevard in the number two lane. For unknown reasons the 72-year-old female pedestrian attempted to cross south on Antelope Boulevard in front of the semi-truck. The semi-truck applied its brakes and attempted to stop but collided with the pedestrian.

Members of the Red Bluff Fire Department responded and began life saving measures. An ambulance from St. Elizabeth’s hospital was in the area at the time of the collision and quickly transported the pedestrian to St. Elizabeth’s for treatment of her injuries. Despite the attempts from first responders and hospital staff, the pedestrian was ultimately pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Alcohol, drugs or speed do not appear to be factors in the collision. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be released at this time.
