Training is one of the most important parts of being a firefighter. Last night our members participated in live fire training which allowed us to practice and sharpen our skills in a controlled environment, build confidence, improve communication, and work together under realistic conditions. Live fire training is especially valuable because opportunities to work in these realistic conditions don't come around often. There is no substitute for hands-on experience, working through real scenarios, and learning to trust and communicate with the team beside you.

During last night's training, members worked through several key operational roles, including:

🔥 Attack Line Team – Advancing the hose line and working to extinguish the fire.

🚒 Backup Line Team – Providing additional support and protection for the attack crew.

🧑‍🚒 FAST Team – Standing by, prepared to assist or rescue a firefighter in distress.

🔎 Search Team – Practicing search techniques and procedures to locate potential victims.

🦺 Exterior & Rehab Team – Supporting exterior operations while monitoring firefighter welfare and providing rehabilitation to members after strenuous work.

Every position plays an important role in a successful fireground operation. Training together helps ensure our members understand their responsibilities, communicate effectively, and work as one team when seconds count.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this training possible:

- Ulster County for allowing us to utilize your training center and providing our members with this valuable opportunity.

- Tivoli Fire Department for providing coverage of our district while our members were training, helping ensure our community remained protected.

-Fairview Fire Department for allowing two of their Municipal Fire Instructors (MFIs) to attend and assist with our live fire training. We appreciate you sharing your knowledge, experience, and time with our members.

Training takes time, commitment, and a willingness to continually learn and improve. Our members dedicate themselves to become better prepared and strengthen our ability to do the job when it matters most.

Even with a little chill in the air, our community showed up and warmed our hearts! 🧡

We want to take a moment to thank everyone who came out to our Trunk or Treat, everyone who spent their time creating fun and creative trunks for the kids, and everyone who donated to help make this event possible. Whether you donated supplies, bought food, handed out candy, decorated a trunk, or simply came out to spend the evening with us, please know how much we appreciate you.

Events like these are about so much more than candy and costumes. They're about bringing our community together, making memories, seeing familiar faces, and watching the kids of our community make the kind of memories they'll remember for years to come. Nights like this remind us just how lucky we are to be part of this community. ❤️

To our community, thank you for always showing up for us the way you do. Your continued support, generosity, and willingness to come together mean more to our firehouse than words can ever truly express. We are proud to serve this community, but we're just as grateful to be a part of it. We couldn't do events like this without all of you, and we hope you know that every bit of support, every helping hand, and every smiling face makes a difference.

We’ve spent months planning and preparing, and now it’s finally time to have some FUN! Bring your family, bring your friends, grab some dinner and come spend Friday night with us.

Co****le Tournament — Registration at 5:30 PM, bags fly at 6:30 PM

Our 3rd Annual Trunk of Terror is coming up on Saturday, October 17th, from 5–9 PM, and we can’t wait to see everyone!
We are looking forward to an awesome night filled with decorated vehicles, Halloween costumes, trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, games, activities, fire safety education, and more!
We’re still looking for more local businesses, organizations, families, and community members to join us and host a trunk. Whether you’re representing a business or organization or just want to get creative with your family and friends, we’d love to have you be part of the fun!

The Red Hook Fire Company is excited to announce our 3rd Annual Trunk of Terror on Saturday, October 17th, from 5–9 PM!
This family-friendly community event features trunk-or-treating, a haunted house, fire safety education, games, activities, and so much more! As our event continues to grow each year, we are looking for local businesses, organizations, families, and community members to join in the fun by hosting a trunk!
Hosting a trunk is a great way for businesses and organizations to connect with hundreds of local families and promote what they do, while also giving families, friends, and community members an opportunity to get creative, decorate their vehicles, and be part of an exciting night for the community.
