Happy National Wolf Awareness Week! ๐บ๐พ
Wolves are the largest members of the Canidae family, a group of mammals that includes coyotes, foxes, jackals, or other wild dogs. On average, wolves can weigh between 31 and 143 pounds and stand about 30 inches tall at the shoulder.
The size of wolves can vary, however, depending on the regions they're in. Wolves that occupy northern regions are typically larger due to colder temperatures, while wolves in the south are smaller, due to warmer temperatures.
In addition to our Howl-o-ween event on Saturday, October 24th, we will have Keeper Talks at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. We will also be tabling throughout the day, so come stop by and show your appreciation for our wolf ambassadors Pilot and Index! ๐ฉถ
