See y’all out there!

Please join us this Thursday as we dedicate the Russell Alan Church Water Reclamation Facility in honor of Russell’s many years of service to the Town of Red River.

Russell was a dedicated Town employee whose hard work and commitment made a lasting difference in our community. Although we lost him five years ago, his contributions to Red River have not been forgotten. It’s fitting that this important facility will carry his name and help serve our community for years to come.

Thursday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m.
Russell Alan Church Water Reclamation Facility

A reception will follow at the Red River Conference Center.

I hope you’ll join Russell’s family, friends, coworkers, and fellow community members as we honor his life, service, and legacy.

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, we remember the lives lost and the incredible courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

Here in Red River, we are especially grateful for the men and women who serve our community every day. Our local law enforcement officers, firefighters, dispatchers, EMS personnel, and other first responders put themselves at risk to protect our residents, visitors, and one another.

We value you. We appreciate you. And we will never take your service for granted.

Today, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to answer the call.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

🚸 School Starts Monday! 🚌

The Red River Marshal’s Office would like to remind everyone to slow down and help keep our students safe as they head back to school.

Please remember:
🛑 Obey all school zone speed limits. Slow down and stay alert—children can be unpredictable.
🚌 Stop for school buses when the stop arm is extended and red lights are flashing. Never pass a stopped school bus unless you’re on the opposite side of a divided highway where permitted by law.
👀 Watch for children crossing streets, walking on sidewalks, and getting on or off buses.
📵 Put the phone down. Distracted driving puts everyone at risk.
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes for your commute, especially during the morning and afternoon school rush.

Let’s work together to make this a safe and successful school year for every student, parent, bus driver, and school staff member.

❤️ Thank You, Red River! ❤️🚓

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our 2nd Annual Touch-a-Truck event today! We had an absolute blast spending the day with our community.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to Faith Mountain Church for partnering with us and providing an incredible meal catered by Sh***un Willie’s. Your generosity helped make this event even more special.

We’re also grateful to all of our participating agencies and organizations for bringing out their vehicles and taking the time to interact with our community.

A special thank you goes to our amazing dispatchers, Jackie Romero and Chris Hillsgrove, for all of their hard work and assistance in making this event a success.

It’s amazing to see our town come together to create fun, memorable experiences for our kids. Seeing all the smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the day reminded us why events like this are so important.
