A huge congratulations to our newest Behavioral Health Court (BHC) graduates: Chelsea Good and Jose Moreno!

Behavioral Health Court is a dedicated collaborative partnership bringing together representatives from the Public Defender’s Office, the Shasta County District Attorney's Office, and the Shasta County Superior Courts. Together, this specialized team works to provide a meaningful alternative for individuals navigating the justice system while managing severe and persistent mental illness.

Through structured support, education, and accountability, BHC helps participants gain a deeper understanding of their mental health, the critical role of medication compliance, and how to effectively recognize their symptomology. Most importantly, the program equips individuals with tools and resources to build long-term support networks within our community.

Both Chelsea and Jose have demonstrated incredible dedication, perseverance, and courage throughout their journey, making profound, positive changes in their lives. We could not be prouder of their hard work and success!
Join us in wishing Chelsea and Jose all the best as they step into this bright next chapter.

Come see us at the Sundial Bridge this Thursday, October 15, from 5–8 PM for the annual Pink Sundial Resource Fair. 🎀

Our pink-wrapped patrol vehicle will be there as the bridge lights up pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

GROW is growing! Our new greenhouse is officially up and running, and we have TONS of fall and winter starts underway! From seeds to seedlings, things are growing in a big way at West Campus.

Once we get all our planting done, we’ll be hosting a GROW Farm Stand popup where YOU can take home some GROW starts and get growing in your own garden!

A huge shout-out to SJDO Biggers, who’s been planting up a storm and keeping things growing.

Stay tuned for details on our upcoming farm stand. We can’t wait to share what we’re growing!

It’s October 1st in Shasta County, which means just one thing: Think Pink! 💖🚔🔥
Local fire and law enforcement agencies gathered at Signarama this morning for the official unveiling of this year’s Think Pink vehicle design—created by a talented Foothill High School student! Look for these special designs on our patrol cars and emergency vehicles all month long.

Want to support the cause? We’re selling commemorative patches to benefit local breast cancer awareness. Each agency patch is $10, or
you can get the set of 8 for $50.

This morning, we had the opportunity to join the Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE) for their open house on Magnolia Avenue! It was great catching up with SCOE staff and learning about the new and enhanced programs supporting students throughout Shasta County. We also checked in with our Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility (JRF) SCOE team and saw the new GOAT sports jerseys, and Assistant Chief Probation Officer Jones had the chance to explore the Active Floor, an innovative educational tool that supports auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning.

We value our strong partnership with SCOE and appreciate their continued commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for Shasta County youth!
