Our President & CEO, Rebecca Baer, reflected on the progress made over the past year and shared the vision for the future of economic development in our region.

We heard from Barry Broome, President & CEO of the Greater Sacramento Economic Council. He shared his experience and insights on building strong regional economies through collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Jennifer Coy, Founder & CEO of Beauty Care Choices, shared her journey of growing her business from a garage startup into a thriving e-commerce company.

Scott Ehlert, Founder & CEO of FABRIC Mass Timber, shared his vision for bringing California's first mass timber manufacturing facility to our region and the opportunities it could create.

$7.9 Million Grant Will Support Growth at Stillwater Business Park

The City of Redding has been awarded a $7.9 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to continue infrastructure improvements at Stillwater Business Park.

The funding will extend Venture Parkway from Parcel 12 to Parcel 16, improving access to additional sites for future development and investment.

Shasta EDC President and CEO Rebecca Baer said the investment builds on the park’s growing momentum, including Amazon’s recent arrival and continued interest from prospective businesses.

The City expects the project to go out to bid and construction to begin by summer 2027, although the timeline is subject to change. Shasta EDC will continue working with the City and other partners to market available properties and attract employers, investment, and high-quality jobs to Redding and Shasta County.
