Three weeks until Election Day!

Public education belongs to the public, and with that comes a responsibility to be accountable to the people we serve.

That means being responsible with taxpayer dollars.

It means asking questions.

It means expecting transparency.

And most importantly, it means looking at whether the decisions we make are actually helping students succeed.

Serving on a school board isn’t about rubber-stamping everything placed in front of you. Board members have a responsibility to read, research, listen and ask questions before making decisions.

I take that responsibility seriously.

I won’t agree with everyone on every issue, but I will continue to do my homework, listen to the community and make decisions based on what I believe best serves students and families.
