Here is the library board approved budget. The village still has to approve the amount we are asking to run this library. Our county funding is getting voted on 10-20-26 at the county board meeting.
Please ask us or a library board member if you have any questions on our library budget. Last year we asked for 60,000.00 and received 43,000. In 2025 library funding $54,645.62 . This year the library fund raised and are taking out of our building savings for payroll and utilities to make it until the rest of the year. 2027 we are asking for $63,530.36. This is to finally help get health insurance in the library budget for the library director position. There is no wiggle room in the Library budget unless you cut staff. Since we are 18% up in circulation and more in building use it would be confusing why the village board would again not to restore funding the way our community is need of the library and its services.
