Our PatRick Environmental crew is currently conducting a prescribed (Rx) burn in Malheur National Forest. Rx burns are one of the most effective tools we have to help protect landscapes, forests, and communities, as they:

🔥 Reduce the risk of future wildfires
🔥 Restore natural forest ecology and stimulate native plant growth
🔥 Enhance critical wildlife habitats and forage

Each prescription burn requires careful planning and precise weather.

🔥 Update on the Little Giant Fire in Chelan County, WA.

Steady progress has been made on Washington’s largest active wildfire. Containment has climbed to 49%, with the footprint now mapped at 171,00+ acres. There’s still plenty of ground to cover, but our crews and partner agencies are putting in the tough work and securing the line.
